With LOVE and HOSPITALITY, We All Win

What does hospitality mean to you?

Dictionary.com defines hospitality as, “The friendly reception and treatment of guests and strangers; the quality or disposition of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, friendly, and generous way.”

Hospitality is simply making sure people feel welcome, comfortable, and important.

Typically, when we think of hospitality, we think of restaurants, hotels, resorts, airlines, rental car companies, or even cruise ships.

In ancient times, of course there were no restaurants nor hotels.  So, when people travelled on horseback or on foot, they would often knock on strangers’ doors and ask if they could spend the night.

People would literally welcome travelers into their homes, offer them food, water, and shelter for the evening when they needed somewhere to stop for the evening.

The spirit of hospitality begins with generosity.

We believe that if and when all of us intentionally commit to GIVING the best of ourselves, we not only begin to see the best in others, but we also inspire more and more people to GIVE the best of themselves as well.

For the next month, we’ll send you thoughts and applications each week on this topic of GIVING Hospitality.

We’ll focus on the following ways to Give Hospitality to our friends, family members, coworkers, and people in our community:
