Itā€™s a word from the Zulu culture, in South Africa.  It means, ā€œI see you.ā€ Its literal translation is ā€œwe see youā€¦ā€. As if to say, ā€œOur whole tribe sees you.ā€ Inherent in the Zulu greeting, ā€œSawubona,ā€ and the grateful reply, ā€œNgikhona,ā€ is a sense that ā€œā€¦until you saw me, I didnā€™t exist.ā€   In Zulu culture, this exchange
