GIVE Hope with Victories

Victory means to experience success in a competition or struggle of some kind.

Victory can also be an emotion, which is a strong feeling of elation (this is great happiness and exhilaration), which is also associated with endorphin buildup.  Endorphins are chemicals our bodies produce to relieve stress and overcome pain.

So, experiencing victory and feeling a genuine sense of victory causes our bodies to release endorphins, which combine with other natural chemicals in our brains and bodies, which make us happy and improve our overall state of well-being.

To experience victory, we must commit to the cause or tasks at hand.

Every successful person and every successful team will tell you that before they experienced any level of success, they first sacrificed.  Whether it was sacrificing time, energy, or effort, they first committed to it.

Next, it takes focus and urgency.  Focus comes from setting those SMART Goals we talked about in a prior newsletter.  That simple exercise allows us to become laser-focused, but it’s our urgency to turn activity into productivity, which moves us closer and closer to victory.

In the midst of doing the work, especially in the difficult moments, staying faithful to our process and having faith in ourselves and others whom we’ve invited to join us in our cause will also lead to experiencing victories in life along our journey.

Finally, in order to experience victories in life, sports, or in our careers, we have to be willing to do the little things.  Successful people do things that unsuccessful people simply refuse to commit to with any consistency at all.

All of this, of course, leads to feeling a sense of accomplishment and achievement, which also GIVES us … HOPE!

Hope that we CAN DO it, hope that maybe IT IS POSSIBLE, and hope that perhaps THINGS WILL GET BETTER, for us and for others in our lives.

It just takes work, commitment, focus, and urgency to make it happen.

Experiencing victories along the way truly GIVES us and others hope for a brighter tomorrow and renews our sense of what’s possible.

In order to experience victories, we must fully commit with focus and urgency in our actions, staying faithful to our process to make it happen, just like these stories we just heard.

The feeling of elation, happiness, and exhilaration are proven to GIVE us fuel, strength, and most of all, a sense of hope to keep going.

Research on this topic reveals that when people set goals for themselves and achieve them, they then become more inspired to set even loftier goals and work even harder to achieve those new, loftier goals.

Hope is real and it’s attainable.

Not only that, it’s something we simply cannot discount or set aside as we all work toward becoming our best and looking for the best in others.

Experiencing victories – big and small – will keep you moving forward, reaching higher, and working even harder as you lean in and blossom into who you were meant to be and where you were meant to go in life.

We’d love to hear your stories of how your friends, coworkers, students, or family members have given you hope, or how you’ve taken it upon yourself to GIVE Hope to others. Share your stories on your favorite social media platform and use the hashtag #GiveHospitalityBook so we can see your post.

Have a great day, and never stop living, working, and loving from a place of GENEROSITY.
